National Assisted Living Week kicked off the month of September, starting with a car show for Grandparents’ Day. It was perfect weather for everyone to enjoy an outdoor concert while making the rounds to vote on a favorite car. There were also dress-up days, prize drawings, a red carpet walk, a trip to Czipars Orchard and delicious ice cream treats delivered by the Vesperman Farms ice cream truck. It was a fun week to honor the folks who live in assisted living residences and the dedicated staff members who support them. The month ended with a fabulous ride on the Rountree Branch Trail in the Platteville Community Arboretum. Huge thanks to the volunteer drivers who make this adventure possible.
