With warm weather and rays of sunshine come wonderful summer activities.  In early June, the seniors visited the farm of a resident’s family member.  They were very interested to see the carousel parlor, which milks 50 cows at one time, and were delighted to see some adorable calves.  Everyone was amazed at how large the farm was and how hard the family works to keep their business running!  Memory care residents had a great time making a delicious flag cake for the 4th of July holiday.  They were very proud of the cake and it was rewarding for them to see their hard work come to fruition!  Each year, Park Place receives a generous donation of sweet corn from a previous resident’s family farm.  Seniors in assisted living and memory care enjoyed shucking the husks off the corn outside and later eating it for dinner!  What a fantastic summer it’s been so far!  To view photos, please click on the web album.
