The month of August was quite a wonderful one for seniors on the campus. A talent show was held, with many residents eager to share their gifts with their neighbors. Talents ranged from quilting and crafting to singing and blood pressure checks. The annual summer party was also held and included delicious treats, dancing and socializing with one another. Special thanks to Kirsten Rusch, daughter of Apartment tenants Ed & Marilyn, for giving a presentation about butterflies for the campus. Folks loved getting up close and personal with butterflies and caterpillars! There was a Dog Day Parade, where staff and family members brought their adorable dogs to the campus for residents to pet, and Rudy the A&W Bear visited to give hugs to the seniors while they enjoyed delicious root beer floats. Lastly, a fun Cowboy Day was held with some cute visitors – horses! Thanks to Paul and Lori Shemak for borrowing their horses to Bekka Shemak and McKenna McPhail for the day so the girls could ride the horses and show them off to the seniors! Wow – what an amazing month! Thanks to all who shared their time and talents with us. To view photos, please click on the web album.
