November started out with ladies from the assisted living residence and the apartments putting together Christmas stockings for the Grant County Holiday Project. Stockings and hats were made by the Mission Sewing Ministry of the Platteville Free Methodist Church, and the ladies stuffed them with candy, holiday movies, a gift card and other goodies. Representatives from the nonprofit organization, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, put on a presentation for the campus. Everyone was so touched by their mission of building beds for kids in need all across the country. Folks donated two sets of sheets and their Bingo proceeds to the great work they do. To commemorate Veterans Day, staff put on a patriotic program to honor resident veterans, plus there was a delightful performance by The Plucky Strummers and piano music by a daughter of one of the residents. The month ended with our annual Craft Fair, with over 20 vendors showing off their amazing merchandise! Thank you to everyone who attended! To view photos, please click on the web album link below.
