August means the summer is winding down, but thank goodness there were still lots of good weather days! Apartment tenants went to Blackhawk Lake Recreation Area for a pontoon boat trip and had a wonderful afternoon of sunshine, nature and lunch on the boat. Assisted living folks had a lovely day and delicious food at the Pointer Cafè in Mineral Point. There were opportunities to cuddle puppies from Belkennels and staff member Rabi’s cat, Rory. She brought her in to celebrate International Cat Day. The kiddos from Great Beginnings Learning Center visited and had lots of fun coloring with memory care residents. The month ended with residents, staff, family and friends celebrating the 15th anniversary of Park Place with ice cream sundaes and special music.
