What a fun month we had! Before the beautiful weather was gone, folks took a trip to Vesperman Farms in Lancaster for some delicious apple cider donuts and to see the newest addition to the farm, the Round Barn. Apartment tenants also traveled to Balltown, IA for a great lunch at Breitbach's Country Dining, the oldest food and drink establishment in the state. Daughters of Activity Director Kim and some of their friends stopped by before their Homecoming festivities, and everyone enjoyed seeing them all dressed up for the special evening! Speaking of dressing up, a number of staff and residents donned their pinkest pink to help support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Staff also worked together to host two big events – a Fall Festival for the campus and a Trunk or Treat for the community! The Fall Festival had great music, games, pumpkin painting and delicious fall treats, and staff went all out decorating their trunks for the Trunk or Treat.
